An antiquarian Thomasina Bateman is writing a publication on the barrows of England and is documenting the treasures she uncovers in. In the event that an interesting letter brings her to the small village of Bewlay hidden within the countryside in the far distance, she travels by train along with her friend one day late.
On her arrival the man mysteriously was supposed to summon her cannot be located. Her assistant never arrives. A stubborn landowner refuses access to the barrow, and the locals are wary of the lady who is traveling alone as well (gasp!) wears trousers.
The dig of Hob’s Barrow is off to rough start. But then Thomasina experiences strange visions…
Dark, intricate with a constantly evolving storyline with elements of traditional English folklore. The Machine’s unique music is accompanied by evocative, graphic images and fantastic animations. The Demon. The Demon is a part of the group behind “Football Game” that won Grammy Awards for Best Soundtrack.
